Justin and Kelly Schlenker started True North to give Northern Colorado homeowners one team they could trust with the whole project.
Our story
True North grew out of a family renovation in 2021. Justin, Kelly and Justin’s brother Brian took on their own home, and the care that project needed became the standard for everyone else’s.
Today we are a family contracting business in Johnstown serving Weld and Larimer counties: remodels and refreshes, custom carpentry, repairs, and Market-Ready work that helps sellers and real estate agents get homes ready to list. The compass is the promise: a steady direction from the first call to the final walkthrough.
The owners
Owner and Lead Contractor
Justin is a Northern Colorado native and third-generation mechanic with more than 20 years of hands-on trade experience: FAA-certified aircraft mechanic, Certified Welding Inspector, plumbing apprentice and lifelong woodworker. He reads a project through the structure, not just the surface, and he checks the details before calling anything done.
Co-owner and Interior Designer
Kelly shapes how a home looks and feels: layout choices, paint and finish selections, and the styling that helps a room photograph well. On Market-Ready projects she decides where the money should go, so sellers invest in what a buyer will actually notice.
